Pierre passed away on January 2nd, 2024, at the age of 84. His passing was sudden and unexpected, despite some existing medical conditions. I had the privilege of working with him for over 30 years. Together, we traveled to China and Japan. In China, we visited a joint venture company with Nanjing Botanical Garden called PIPA Horticultural Company Limited. We met many people, and Pierre organized the production schedule to purchase liners from them. He introduced numerous Chinese plant species to North America and continued purchasing plants from PIPA until the CFIA banned the import of rooted plants from China. 

Pierre's life was filled with many stories. He was a funny, smart, and stubborn person—sometimes very kind, and other times quite challenging to deal with. At the age of 80, he made the difficult decision to sell Piroche Plants Inc. Even after selling the company, he continued to keep his collection of plants in his private greenhouses.

Now, Botanical Odyssey is the company Pierre established to preserve his collection of plants. Katreen is the manager of the company. I am renting greenhouses to collect plants from Japan, and this facility has excellent propagation houses.

I am also maintaining the nursery. We now need to sell Pierre's collection plants and some smaller plants to maintain the collection in the greenhouses. Please check the current availability list from Botanical Odyssey. If you have any questions, please let me know.
